Best Man Ministries (BMM) was birth during a men’s shut-in 2006. The Lord spoke through Pastor Marvin L. Winans and Minister Anthony Allen, who preached under the anointing of God during this shut-in. From their two messages, the foundation of Best Man Ministries was set. The theme for the department is "Strong Men Serving Others" and we aim to show that great leadership is demonstrated through serving others.

The vision for Best Man Ministries is to have a thriving and diverse group of men who are well equipped to reach and teach other men. Our theme scripture is Matthew 25:23 which states "His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." Our goal is to become a global ministry, spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and meeting the needs of men all around the world.

All men 21 years of age and older are encouraged to be active participants in this ministry, as it is a great privilege and honor to serve alongside other brethren and to do the work of the Kingdom of God. 1 Peter 2:21 states, "For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps...". Following the example of our Lord, Jesus Christ, let us diligently serve together in unity to accomplish the mission that God has set before us. We have a dying world to save and nothing else has the power to change the world like reaching men!

Men's Weekend is held every year during the third week in November. This is a time dedicated to the uplifting and edifying of all men within the Detroit metropolitan area as well as the entire Southeast region. During Men's Weekend one can expect to be united with the brethren from different walks of life, backgrounds, and ethnicities, as we receive revelation from God. Come join us for a wonderful time of singing, dancing, and praising God. Each year we are blessed with anointed musical guests and speakers who deliver on time messages from the Lord. God has shown himself faithful to Best Man Ministries, as He continues to pour out unto us year after year without failing, and He always manages to show us something new. Men's Weekend is not just an event -- it's an experience, and it's one that you surely do not want to miss!
