In midst of economic uncertainty, we have declared, “the work of the Lord will continue.” I have consistently stated that Perfecting is to be the church of the city! Not because we would have the largest membership or even the largest edifice, but because we would influence this city with principles of the kingdom! Work has begun again at the new site and must not stop until it is completed. On Monday, October 26th the cross of our new edifice was erected, soaring high toward heaven, and as God would have it as the cross was being raised a photographer for the Detroit News was passing by, he stopped and came over to me introduced himself and stated “It’s working” implying 
that the cross had drawn him to the church! I believe that as we raise the cross we also raise the hope, expectation, and future of our community. We must continue to lift Jesus up for all to see! We are asking everyone that has pledged toward the capital campaign to fulfill your commitment. I am aware that some will miss the deadline but don’t be discouraged, continue to give until it is completed. Don’t allow the devil to defeat you in this endeavor. We will win, we will build, and we will “turn this city out!”
